Pros and Cons

PROSCONS
✅Easily adjustable
✅Adaptable for all training
✅Good value
❌Feels cheap for some people
❌Not durable in the long run

Our Experience with the EliteSRS Boxer 3.0 Jump Rope

  • Quality of Material: 4.0 / 5.0
  • Durability: 3.5 / 5.0
  • Adjustability: 4.0 / 5.0
  • Price: 4.5 / 5.0

After hours of extensive use and testing, we were impressed with this jump rope.

The jump rope’s thick PVC outer cord was light enough for speed work and heavy enough for endurance training. Its material was durable on multiple surfaces to an extent. However, with repeated use on rough surfaces like concrete, the material began to scuff and fray.

While it’s packed with features like comfortable ergonomic handles, a smooth ball-bearing mechanism, and snap-lock adjustability, at its core is a simple design that aims to be an all-purpose daily jump rope.

While we loved its simple, no-frills design, we understand if someone complains that it feels cheap to hold. Before we used it for the first time, it felt like any other jump rope.

This rope is perfect if you want performance that’s comparable with that of the Boxrope or the Rush Athletics Money Rope, but for a better price.

Pros and Cons

PROSCONS
✅Extremely affordable
✅Easy to adjust
✅Great for beginners
❌Rope wears out easily
❌Foam handles tear over time

Our Experience with the XYLsports Jump Rope

  • Quality of Material: 3.0 / 5.0
  • Durability: 3.0 / 5.0
  • Adjustability: 4.5 / 5.0
  • Price: 5.0 / 5.0

When we first started testing this jump rope, we noticed that it was too long for us at first, but it was extremely easy to adjust. All we had to do was open each handle and pull the rope through. We liked how there was space inside the handle; we could tuck the extra length of the rope into the handle so we didn’t have to cut it.

In use, the jump rope performed smoothly and the foam handles were comfortable to hold. When we tripped and hit our shins, the rope didn’t sting at all.

However, we noticed that the foam handles began to tear after some months of use and that the outer material of the jump rope wore out easily, especially when we jumped on rough surfaces.

This jump rope is best if you’re a beginner who’s on a budget and is learning how to skip.

Pros and Cons

PROSCons
✅High quality
✅Easy-to-replace ropes
✅Track your fitness goals
❌Expensive
❌Non-adjustable ropes

Our Experience with CrossRope Get Strong

  • Quality of Material: 4.5 / 5.0
  • Durability: 4.0 / 5.0
  • Adjustability: 3.5 / 5.0
  • Price: 3.0 / 5.0

At first, we were worried that this rope’s bearing performance would be too smooth and would take away the rope’s weight resistance. After use, we found that CrossRope found the right balance between these two elements.

Another concern we had was that some weighted ropes put more weight into the handles than they should. CrossRope did a great job addressing this; the jump rope had light, easy-to-grip handles that let us feel the rope’s weight.

After testing this rope on different surfaces, we found that this coated rope could handle them all without wear and tear.

It was extremely easy to swap the 1 lb light rope with 2 lb heavy rope with the rope’s clip system. However, there was no way to adjust its length, so take care to choose the right size rope for your height.

What stood out the most for us was the intense workout we got swapping between the 1 lb and 2 lb weight ropes. It reminded us of interval training (alternating between jogging and sprinting) but with a good burn on the back and arms.

If you want to track your fitness goals, the rope set comes with an app with a guided workout library and jump tracker. We found this handy, but unnecessary. For most, you’ll get the best value if you get the ropes with no app subscription.

WOD Nation Adjustable Speed Jump Rope – Best For Speed Training

Pros and Cons

PROSCONS
✅Smooth speed performance
✅Durable bearing mechanism
✅Great value
❌Can’t be used on all surfaces
❌Hard to adjust

Our Experience with the WOD Nation Adjustable Speed Jump Rope

  • Quality of Material: 4.0 / 5.0
  • Durability: 4.0 / 5.0
  • Adjustability: 3.5 / 5.0
  • Price: 4.0 / 5.0

In all, we were impressed with this jump rope’s performance.

Our WOD Nation speed rope was light-weight and gave us great speed and double-unders with little effort. Its bearing mechanism stayed smooth for the entire testing period. However, we found that the plastic handles were difficult to grip after our hands started sweating.

When we tried to adjust the jump rope, we noticed that the cable was tough to cut and that they didn’t provide a wire cutter. If you’re in a rush to jump rope, you’ll find this a chore if the default length doesn’t match your height.

Like all speed ropes, their durability depends on what kind of surface you use it on. When we used it on pavement, our WOD rope didn’t last a month before breaking. On turf or a mat, our second WOD rope still works like new.

Stick with the right surface and you’ll enjoy your WOD rope for years.

Pros and Cons

PROSCONS
✅Adjustable weight and length
✅Great value
❌Rope tangles easily
❌Foam handles peel over time

Our Experience with the Everlast EverGrip Weighted Rope

  • Quality of Material: 3.5 / 5.0
  • Durability: 3.5 / 5.0
  • Adjustability: 4.5 / 5.0
  • Price: 4.5 / 5.0

After extensive testing, what stood out for us was this rope’s adjustability. While most jump ropes only offer to adjust either the weight or the length, this jump rope allowed us to adjust both! All we had to do was unscrew the yellow caps on the handles to add the weights or pull the rope.

Along with a comfortable grip handle and smooth bearing performance, this was an all-around solid jump rope for us.

Our biggest criticism was that the rope easily tangled at first since it was delivered folded up in a package. After boiling and straightening the rope, it still had some kinks leftover.

If you’re looking for a length-and-weight adjustable jump rope that will get you into shape for boxing, this jump rope is perfect for you.
