These are the most popular gloves in the Venum collection, for good reason.
We loved the sleek style of the gloves, opting for the white and black option. If you want a different colorway, Venum gives you many options to choose from.
The triple-layer foam padding kept our knuckles comfortable through many bag work and sparring sessions. Even though we loved the extra protection on the knuckles, at times we weren’t fans of how this gave us less feedback on our punches.
We noted that these gloves are better for bigger hands. Some people with smaller hands won’t like the loose fit.
If you’re a beginner and intermediate boxer who wants an all-purpose, daily pair of gloves for hitting the bag, doing pad work, or sparring, the Venum Elites are perfect for you.
If you’re more experienced and want to spend more on quality and craftsmanship, we strongly recommend the Hayabusa T3 gloves or the Cleto Reyes Hook and Loop gloves.

Quality of Material
Even though these gloves were made with synthetic premium leather, they fit comfortably the first time we put them on. At first, we were worried that we’d have to wait a month to break in the gloves, but they fit well from the first day.
Since synthetic leather doesn’t ventilate well, Venum added a mesh palm to help with breathability. We appreciated this small detail, as it kept our hands cool through many hours of training.
Protecting our knuckles was a three-layer density foam padding, which gave our knuckles maximum protection, but during some sessions we couldn’t feel the full power of our punches. This is great for beginners who are still learning how to throw punches, but also something to keep in mind if you’re more experienced.
We also appreciated the attached thumbs of the gloves, which kept our thumbs safe. Again, it’s important to remember the loose fit of the gloves applies to the thumbs too. If you have smaller hands, the attached thumb might feel insecure.
Durability
After a few months of training with these gloves, almost all features of our gloves continued to hold up well: the padding on the knuckles, the synthetic leather, and the stitching.
What worried us over time was the wrist protection of the gloves as their Velcro began to wear down and became less effective. Sometimes we had to stop our training sessions to readjust the Velcro and fasten it tight again.
In all, for such a low-cost pair of gloves, we were impressed with their durability and their ability to take beatings day after day.

In our first sessions with these gloves, the knuckle padding, attached thumb, and long wrist cuffs kept our hands comfortable and protected during bag work and sparring.
We tested the padding of the breathable palms during spars, thinking they would be the weak points of the gloves, but they protected our hands well when we parried away punches.
After a few months, the knuckle padding and attached thumbs continued to protect our hands well, but the Velcro protecting our wrists began to wear down.

The Venum Elite aren’t too expensive compared to other gloves of similar quality.
Considering the price, these gloves give stellar quality, durability, and hand protection, in addition to sharp style and aesthetics.
Even if you train with these gloves every day, you can make these gloves last at least a year before looking to replace them.
